Virtual Classroom

SDR web trainings are led by our trained instructors and consist of real-time lessons and GIS demonstrations.  Ample time is given for questions and answers and review materials are e-mailed to students following the class.  The classes contain both audio and video elements and require a high-speed internet connection and either a telephone or a computer microphone to join the audio conference.  Students can also interact with the instructor or other students through instant messaging.  SDR uses “GoToMeeting” for our web trainings.  The first time you use GoToMeeting, you will have to download a small interface application.  Please allow a few minutes to download this application before your first class.  If you do not have Administrator privileges for your computer, you may need IT assistance in order to download the plug-in.

To sign up for a class, click on the “Register” link following the class information.  Choose the class time and date and enter your contact information and billing address.  Within two business days of registraton, you will receive an email stating that you are registered for the class. 24 hours before your scheduled class, the instructor will e-mail a web meeting invitation.  This invitation will contain a link, a phone number and the meeting ID.  You can also select a class from the calendar link and click on the class date to register.

The fee for 1 hour classes is $95 per computer joining the class via GoToMeeting.  The fee for 1 and 1/2 hour classes is $145. Several classes, such as the SDR AddressIt class, are two-hours in duration and the fee for these classes is $175.  Invoices are mailed by the 10th of the month following the training.  If you take multiple classes during a single month, they will be billed on the same invoice.
